Sometimes it’s tough to eat all your required fruit servings every day. If you’re stuck for time, or just feel like a refreshing, tasty, nutritional boost, try one of these power smoothies.
Most people would do this as a breakfast, but it's really an ‘anytime’ meal:
Grab three or four servings of fruit. I like an apple, two bananas and some strawberries but you can use whatever you like.
Chop them up and stick them in a blender with some spinach (great nutritional value, zero impact on flavour) and half a cup of water and blend until smooth.
Next, add two tablespoons of peanut butter (natural, no added sugar or salt) - and some cocoa if you like - and blend that in. Et voilà! You have your power smoothie.
Tons of nutrients, vitamins, fibre, protein and other goodness without added sugar or any 'junk' calories.
