When it comes to food you have to be really careful what you believe, based on what something is called.

Here are four foods with fancy labels that shouldn't fool you.

1. Pasta salad

Pasta salad is a 'salad' only in the most basic sense of the word. It's a mixture of various cold ingredients, but that's really where it all stops.

A pasta salad is usually a mayonnaise-drenched mess of refined pasta and a few token vegetables thrown in for the look of it. The problem is that calling it a salad makes you think it's a healthy choice, a 'diet' food even.

It's NOT! It's EXACTLY the same as eating a big bowl of creamy, saucy pasta.
