Will walking twice a day improve weight loss?
Walking is a simple, easy and convenient way to get some calories burning. It is a form of exercise that many people engage in, whether in groups or on their own.
Many people tend to assume that if you want to boost your metabolism and burn fat, then you need to walk two times a day. This may not necessarily be true provided that you are walking for the same duration of time daily. For example, if you walk for 60 minutes today then you could walk for 30 minutes tomorrow morning and the remaining 30 minutes tomorrow evening. Bottom line is that you still walked for 60 minutes on each day. So it doesn’t really matter how you may divide the 60 minutes into intervals, just as long as you walk.
Up your intensity!
Increasing the intensity of walking may help you to burn more calories. Similarly, increasing the duration of time that you spend walking may also help to increase your daily calorie burnout.
Consult your doctor
Always remember to consult with your doctor before starting any new exercise regime or making intense changes to your current one – especially if you suffer from any medical conditions and for some reason are required not to place your body or yourself under any form of stress or strain.
