Metabolism is an important element in the equation of keeping your weight stable. It is the rate at which your body burns energy (food).
1. Eat chillies/peppers or other spicy food
The capsaicin that these foods contain has been known to speed up metabolism. If you really do not like spicy food, it is available in capsule form from pharmacies.
2. Have short bursts of activity during the course of the day
It does not have to be formal exercise; just get up from your desk, walk around a bit and stretch.
3. Caffeine is another booster; a few cups of tea or coffee can assist you in losing weight
However, donât overdo it, as excessive caffeine is never a good thing.
4. Donât starve yourself!
Itâs no use skipping meals or going for lengthy periods without food in an effort to lose weight; your metabolism will slow down drastically. The best way to eat to optimize metabolic rate is small, frequent meals.
5. Drink green tea (if you can face it!)
Itâs not everybodyâs cup of tea, but if you like it, it is another metabolic aid.
6. Drink water
Your body works at its optimum and you will feel better if you are well hydrated.
