Aside from its many nutrients and convenient packaging, bananas also have a low glycaemic index, which can help you with weight loss. The glycaemic index is a ranking of how quickly carbohydrates from food are released into the body. Foods that have low glycaemic index scores release carbohydrates slowly into the body. This prevents drops and spikes in your blood sugar levels as fluctuations signal your body to eat more than you should.
