So, you’ve finally lost some weight and are all excited. You tend to drop your once held sharp focus on your diet, and then what happens?

You start to gain weight again, of course! If you have managed to lose some weight but are finding that you are gaining the weight back, you could be guilty of overeating a certain type of food. For example, you increased your portion size of sweet potatoes to double of what it used to be (when you followed your calorie intake strictly), resulting in an increase in calories. Thus, even if you maintain the same exercise regime, you may still put on weight as you will be consuming more calories than you are burning.

Two simple solutions to this problem would be to either stop purchasing these foods (that is, if you don’t find it too hard to resist!) or to find lower calorie replacements for them.
