Losing weight can be achieved by making permanent changes to your shopping list.
Do you really need the some of the items on your shopping list? Many of them are probably treats, unhealthy snacks, processed and refined foods, such as chocolates, biscuits, crisps, fizzy drinks, roasted nuts, sweets...the list goes on.
Buy foods of nutritional value
Try sticking to buying healthy foods, of good nutritional value only, and slowly reduce the amount of junk food - that most of us tend to throw in the trolley first! After all, what we donât have, we wonât eat!
Look for healthy alternatives
If you are someone who must have a snack every day, then look for healthy alternatives. For example, opt for dried fruit instead of chocolate coated biscuits. You could save hundreds on calories in this way.
One step at a time
It will be more difficult to eliminate junk food for some, than for others, so if you are one of those, then just take it one step at a time. Maybe buy just one bag of potato chips instead of three. The next week or month, try buying a smaller bag and so on.
Small steps will help you adjust more easily, and you will reap many health and weight benefits!
