It seems that studies are revealing that people who consume nuts are more likely to be leaner as opposed to those who donât.
According to Eating Well, a Harvard study showed that nuts can be regarded as a major food for driving weight loss.
Donât forget portion size
Remember to watch your portion size when consuming nuts as they are calorie dense. It is estimated that 49 nuts contain about 157 calories!
Opt for unshelled pistachios
Opting for unshelled pistachios may be a better option, as this will slow down your eating â since you will require time in between for removing the shells. You would also be able to visibly see just how many you have already eaten â and therefore may be prevented from overeating.
According to Eating Well, a study in Eastern Illinois University revealed that participants âwho were given unshelled pistachios consumed 41 percent fewer calories than those offered nuts with the shells already removedâ.
