How many of you read the information available on consumer products before consumption? Do you take a quick glance or actually spend a few minutes making some calculations if necessary?
It is so easy to overlook just how many calories we are consuming, when we indulge in a chocolate bar or even a packet of nuts.
Example
You feel like treating yourself to a seemingly ‘small’ chocolate bar, and so take a quick glance at the nutritional label on the product. You notice mention of 220 calories on the packaging.
But on taking a few seconds more to study the wrapper you may notice that the 220 calories is the figure reflected for two or more servings! Thus, unknowingly, you may be doubling the quantity of calories that you are consuming.
Read carefully
So if you are trying to lose weight, pay more attention and take those few extra seconds to read product packaging more carefully. It could save you many calories!
