Dr Oz, cardiothoracic surgeon and host of popular TV show, The Dr. Oz Show, suggests that you take the first picture of yourself before starting your weight loss programme. This will serve as a starting reference point.

Thereafter try and take another photo of yourself at weekly intervals and compare these photos to the ones that you had taken in earlier weeks.

Motivate yourself!

This will help you to keep track of the progress you are making and just how much weight you have lost during the process. Seeing how great you are looking will motivate you to keep going.

Weight loss doesn’t happen overnight

Dr Oz also says that you will learn that weight loss is a process that takes time and cannot be achieved overnight.
