Dr Phil, world renowned clinical psychologist and host of the popular TV show, Dr. Phil, says that while genetics does play a role in our body size, we must not use it as an excuse not to stay healthy and at a healthy weight.
He says that we should work with what we have been given. For example, âbeing big-bonedâ is not an excuse for being 50 kilograms overweight.
Everybodyâs bodies are different and some of us may have bigger challenges than others regarding weight but we should stay focused if we want to succeed.
Chat to your doctor if you are concerned about your weight or need more information on ways in which you could lose some kilograms. You could also see a physical trainer if you feel you may need to increase your workout intensity or a dietician if you need to make changes to your diet.
