Definitely not. Skipping meals may make you twice as hungry and this may either increase the likelihood of you overeating during your next meal, or make you head for some high calorie take away or junk foods.
Think about it. The last time you skipped lunch, did you head straight for some biscuits, cakes or other unhealthy food or beverage that offered minimal nutritional?
So what should you do?
Rather, you should aim to consume three smaller meals and include two healthy snacks during the day, but make sure the snacks as well as meals are healthy and are not big portions!
Alternatively you could consume maybe five to six smaller meals. This may help you avoid getting too hungry and overindulging at subsequent meals.
