Blown your daily calories? Heres what to do

An occasional binge isn't a weight loss fail

Blowing all your calories for the day on that over-the-top decadent chocolate fudge sundae isn't the end of the world.

You'd need to eat about 3 500 calories to gain half a kilogram, so don't be too hard on yourself for the occasional binge.

What to do when you slip up

Relax, says Rebecca S. Reeves, DrPH, RD, assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine. “No one is perfect in their eating habits. What we have to learn is that we are giving ourselves permission to do this, and as soon as it’s over, we should go back to the eating plan we normally follow.”

Reeves explains that this doesn't mean you should continue to overeat and binge. Dust yourself off, forgive yourself, and get back to your healthy eating and exercise plan.
