A key to losing weight or maintaining a healthy weight, is learning how to stabilise your blood sugar levels.
An easy way to do this is to think of eating in threes.
Your body naturally wants to eat every three hours. If you wait longer than that, it's likely to go into starvation mode. Eat within an hour of waking up, and then every three hours after that.
Another way to make sure that you're balancing your blood sugar levels is to divide your plate into thirds.
Have one part protein (chicken, lentils, lean meat, etc.), and a second part carbs, such as rice, potatoes, pasta, etc. Healthy fat should make up the third and smallest part. This can be avocado pieces, fatty fish like salmon or tuna, olives, or nuts.
