If you need a quick boost in your metabolism in the morning, there's something you can do before going to bed every night.
Two recent Florida State University studies have revealed how eating a small snack before going to bed can raise metabolism levels the next morning.
Participants snacked on food (of no more than 150 calories) roughly 30 minutes before going to sleep. The studies revealed that they had more energy the next morning, compared to those who didn't snack before bedtime.
If you're going to nibble on a small snack after supper, make sure it's one that's full of protein. Yoghurt, low-fat milk, or cottage cheese are all good examples.
And if you're going to make these late night snacks a habit, make sure you stick to a regular exercise plan to avoid gaining extra weight.
