Winter is notorious for making us want to tuck into all those appetising comfort foods and naughty sugary snacks.
But if you want to keep your belly in shape this season (and not struggle to lose it by springtime), now might be a good idea to start switching up a few foods at home.
You don't have to completely transform the way you're eating, just make a few clever swaps.
Switch up your snacks. Friends coming over? Swap those bowls of biltong and peanuts for raisins, dried fruit and pretzels instead.
Don't give up your favourite comfort foods altogether. If you can't live without pizza for example, opt for a thin base one with more veggies and less meat and cheese.
Ditch pre-made sugar-dense hot chocolate. Create your own delicious hot chocolate by using cocoa, and low-fat or fat-free milk. Go easy with the amount of sugar you add, or throw a couple of mini marshmallows on top instead, for some sweetness.
