What's winter without indulging in a decadent mug of hot chocolate, while snuggling under cosy blankets?
Unfortunately, as yummy as this wintertime treat is, most store-bought varieties aren't exactly great for our waistline.
That's why making your own low-fat hot chocolate is the way to go. And it's so easy!
Warm a mug of unsweetened almond milk (or regular low-fat or fat-free milk).
Whisk in two tablespoons of cocoa powder.
Add a packet of sweetener for taste.
If you want to make it really decadent (and super healthy), try adding these optional extras...
Add ¼ teaspoon of your favourite spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.)
Up your omega-3 by adding a tablespoon of ground flax.
For some extra heat (with fat-blasting properties), add a touch of cayenne pepper or ground chillies.
