Go for coleslaw with a difference!

Try making your own coleslaw. Head straight for the vegetable section of your local supermarket and get the freshest vegetable that you would like to include in your salad. Remember that you do not have to limit yourself to just one vegetable.

Try broccoli and carrot

Broccoli can make and excellent addition to the traditional cabbage coleslaw. Shred the broccoli stems and cabbage as well as some carrots and combine in a bowl.

Avoid high fat mayonnaise

Add low fat mayonnaise instead of the high fat ones. You could also add a low fat tomato soup for a completely different taste and flavour.
