Having a hectic life is a common breeding ground for stress, which doesn't just affect you â but those closest around you too.
And stress as we all know, is caused when too much cortisol is produced in our bodies. This hormone ramps up our appetites and often leads to overeating, or comfort eating.
So the quicker we nip stress in the bud, the better!
An easy way to do this is by making relaxation part of your day.
Don't say that you'll relax when you have time, or worse â if you have time. Make it part of your day, even if it's only 15 minutes.
Flip through a magazine
Call a friend to chat
Practise a few yoga moves
Exercise
Listen to music
Browse healthy dessert recipes
Block off this âme timeâ every day so that you've got time to pause and ease whatever built-up tension you have going.
