Do you ever buy too much fresh fruit and veggies, and then end up throwing most of it away because they've passed their expiry date?
This doesn't mean that you should resort to buying frozen foods only, though.
To avoid future wastage, give these tips a try...
Eat produce at every meal. Even if you chop up a tomato for salsa on the side, or have sliced banana with your curry.
Make omelettes. This makes a great low-budget main meal and you can really load them with a ton of fresh veggies.
Freeze fruit. If you bought too much fruit and can't eat it all quickly, freezing is a great solution. Slice up fruits like strawberries, bananas and mangoes and freeze them to use later. (Great for smoothies and yoghurt toppings!)
