Place one foot with the heel down, on a low step of the pool. Look straight ahead then flex at the hips to bring your torso forwards until you begin to feel a stretch at the back of your thigh.
1. Stand on your left leg, and hold your right foot behind you. To increase the intensity of the stretch, try pressing your hips forward and allow your right knee to move back slightly.
2. Keep your hands on the wall of the pool. Now take a step back with your right leg and press your heel down. Try holding this stretch for about 20 seconds. For a deeper stretch, you can bend your right knee slightly.
3. Stand on your left leg. Now try and maintain good posture whilst grabbing your right knee with both of your arms and pulling it close to your chest.
So, even if you do not feel like swimming, you can still burn calories in the pool!
