Lasagne is a long-time traditional winter comfort food. Unfortunately for us, it's not the healthiest of meals.

Here are a few tricks to making a lighter lasagne â without sacrificing on flavour...
Use lean mince, chicken sausage.
Replace meat altogether and use lentils, mashed beans or chickpeas instead for a veggie option.
Cut down the amount of cheese used by half.
Replace full-fat cheese with low-fat cheese.
Pay attention to portion sizes â even if you cut down cheese or replace regular mince.
Serve smaller portions with a large salad and lots of green vegetables on the side.
