Motivation goes a long way in achieving your weight loss goals. Keep yourself and your partner motivated with positive words and reinforcements. For example you could say âWell Done!â when your partner drops a kilogram or if finances allow â buy him or her a new gym towel or pair of shoes!
Having someone to challenge you is a wonderful way of keeping up the pace of working out. For example, if you manage to burn an extra 20 calories by performing a specific exercise then challenge your partner to do so as well.
Losing weight may take more time for some people than for others since our lifestyles and genetics may differ considerably. Having someone (who is in a similar situation as yours) to talk to may be a great idea as they may be more empathetic and understanding.
If you have a craving or want to indulge in your favourite dessert or treat, then call your partner. He or she will talk you out of it, as they would expect you to do so when they are placed in the same situation!
