A raw food diet is just as it sounds – a diet where you eat a lot of fresh food and don't cook anything.

That's right... the oven takes a break on this diet.

Anything that doesn't need to be cooked. It's all about unprocessed and mostly organic food.

So think of foods like fruits and veggies, nuts and seeds, and dairy foods.

Some people on this diet even eat raw eggs, meat and fish (sushi!).

This is a diet to really get creative in the kitchen by using blenders and food processors to prepare food.

Pros and cons

You'll probably lose weight on this diet and you'll be forced to eat healthier, which is great!

But, there are a few things to bear in mind...

You need to make sure that you get in enough protein, calcium, iron and other vitamins. If you're planning on giving this eating plan a try, incorporate some vitamin supplements into your diet.
