Many women believe that drinking apple cider vinegar before meals, will curb their eating habits and allow them to lose weight quickly.
Unfortunately, there's only been one study to test this theory.
In this study, 175 obese but healthy people, drank water or apple cider vinegar every day for 12 weeks.
After three months, those who drank apple cider vinegar lost more weight. However, the average lost for the entire 12 week-period was less than one kilogram. All the participants gained their weight back after the study.
According to registered dietitian, Debbie Davis, adding apple cider vinegar to your diet may have some weight loss benefits, but it's by no means a quick fix.
If you really want to lose weight â and keep it off, focus on exercise and portion control at meal times.
