Let's face it, there are plenty of foods we know we should be eating to get that sexy, toned tummy, but what about the foods we should be avoiding?
Salt/Sodium. Eating foods high in salt makes you retain water, which causes bloating. The recommended daily amount of salt you should be eating is no more than 1 500mg. Replace salt with spices and herbs in your food, and check the labels of packaged food for salt or sodium.
Air-sucking foods like chewing gum or sucking on hard candy can cause gas, which leads to that bloated belly feeling. Eating or drinking quickly, or sipping through a straw can also create more air in your digestive system.
Low-calorie sweeteners. These sugar substitutes lead to gas because they aren't completely digested in our system. To flatten your tummy, limit or avoid foods that contain xylitol, lacitol, mannitol, sorbitol or other chemical sweeteners.
