Simply put, if you want to lose weight you need to tell some people you can trust to hold you accountable and help you along the way.
The problem is, some of your friends are NOT helping.
With the best of intentions - or not - they sabotaged your efforts and prevented you from achieving your New Year's Resolution of a flat tummy in 2014.
Here are four types of friends to avoid listening to when it comes to your nutrition and exercise plan:
We all have that annoying friend who seems to have been born thin, toned and muscular. Every proportion is balanced, every curve properly placed, every muscle just right.
They seem to eat what they want, when they want and they stay in shape! THAT'S SO UNFAIR!!!
On the surface, it seems wise to take nutrition and exercise advice from the NBF - I mean, just look at her amazing body! If you could just do what she does... Right? Unfortunately not.
She's been that way forever by just doing what comes naturally. The NBF will dispense diet advice because she will get asked all the time, but she has no experience of putting her own advice into practice. She will also say things like 'I don't understand why this is so hard for you' from time-to-time just to make you feel even worse about your lack of progress.
Sadly, NBF's often find themselves in jobs where they dispense this advice for a living. They work as personal trainers, sports coaches and dieticians and tell their clients to do things which of they have no personal experience.
Bottom line? I you want help with weight loss get it from someone who had to lose weight at some point and did so successfully.
