Consuming too many sweets, chocolates, cakes, pastries and other foods that are high in calories will increase your daily calorie intake. Apart from this, many of these foods often contain preservatives, sweeteners and other additives which may offer no nutritional value whatsoever.
You may enjoy the taste while consuming the food, but you may not enjoy the weight you may gain in the long term – if these foods are eaten often enough.

You could perhaps opt for fruit or another healthy snack every time you feel like consuming a treat. Alternatively engage in some form of exercise or distract yourself so that you do not turn to unhealthy foods so often.
