Cut calories: Dairy-free chocolate mousse with avo

An irresistible dessert made healthy

If you can't resist chocolate, crave chocolate mousse, or struggle to say no to this sinful, creamy delight, don't panic.

There's still a way you can enjoy your favourite dessert – without all that unhealthy fat.

Ingredients

    • Quarter cup raw honey or organic maple syrup
    • Two ripe avos
    • One teaspoon vanilla extract
    • Half cup raw cocoa powder
    • Pinch of sea salt and cinnamon for flavour

Blend all the ingredients together for about 30 seconds until smooth and creamy.  This recipe makes 10 – 12 servings.

Mousse variations

To make a lighter mousse, add a little water. To pump up the protein, add a serving of natural protein powder.

For extra texture, serve with a sprinkling of chopped almonds, or a small serving of blueberries.
