The Japanese are constantly on the go, but they also know when it’s time to take a few and give their bodies some much-needed downtime.

If you’re adamant about losing a bit of extra weight, a lunchtime power nap could be just the thing to boost your energy levels and help to ward off weight gain.

We already know that when we don’t get enough sleep at night, we’re more prone to putting on extra weight because orur bodies crave comfort food as a lack of sleep substitute. But, sadly, not all of us can block off a good seven to eight hours sleep every night.

When this happens, follow the Japanese and take a power nap over your lunch break.

All you need is a good 20 to 30 minutes of shut-eye – you can do this in your car, or even in your office if you have a door that can close for some privacy.
