Potato chips are one of the most popular snacks and a favourite of many people throughout the world. Consuming them regularly is not healthy though, as potato chips are often laden with salt, sugar and harmful chemicals...and on top of that, they are deep fried and contain hundreds of calories from fat/oil.
Try substituting other snacks, not as high in fat-calories and salt - such as low-salt, whole-grain crackers perhaps - for your potato chips. These crackers will contain less salt and more fibre (which is great for weight loss!) and the best part is that they are just as crunchy as potato chips.
Be sure to read food labels, every time you go shopping. In this way, you will be able to search through the many varieties and compare them before deciding which one to purchase. Remember you can add healthy topping options to your crackers too, and prevent yourself from gaining unnecessary weight!
