Do you turn to the refrigerator in search of your favourite tub of ice-cream when feeling sad, depressed or lonely? If yes, then you better think twice as this food could make you pile on the calories with you even considering it.
Most ice-creams are made of full cream ingredients such as milk or cream. Furthermore they may contain sugar as well as other sweeteners and flavourants that collectively will add on the calories.
Be sure to read the food label on the tub of ice-cream that you intend purchasing. The calorie count may make you re-think purchasing it, if you are watching your weight or are trying to drop some kilograms.
When we indulge in ice-cream, not many of us really watch our portion size, which can make weight gain even easier. So try finding an appropriately sized bowl beforehand, if you must have some ice-cream!
