Bread provides our bodies with carbohydrates - one of the major food groups that we should include in a balanced diet daily. But the type of bread that we consume regularly can affect our attempts to lose weight, as the different varieties of breads differ in the number of calories that they contain.
If you are trying to lose some kilograms, try changing to whole-wheat breads that are high in fibre. Apart from other health benefits of fibre, fibre aids weight loss by helping us to feel full faster and this will help prevent you from overeating.
Remember that the refined white breads are high in calories so if you are a fan of this type of bread, perhaps try to reduce the portion size of bread that you may be consuming daily. Similarly, consider changing to lower fat options of other breads or wraps (tortillas, etc), that you may be having very often.
