Are you guilty of throwing in a few packets or boxes of junk foods when doing your household grocery shopping? Many people will answer yes and even though treats are great to eat sometimes, be wary that you do not overdo it on a regular basis!
When looking for a snack, you will inevitably go to your ‘snack cupboard’ and reach for a packet of chips or a box of some sweet indulgence – because it is simply there, waiting to be eaten. But if it is not there, you will turn to healthier options, perhaps fruit, nuts, raisins, etc.
So be sure to throw in some fresh fruit and heaps of veggies when you’re out shopping as this will be more nutritious and appetizing than other refined and highly processed foods. It will help you maintain a healthy weight and prevent you from increasing your calorie intake too!
