Many people eat yogurt regularly because they've been told that it contains 'live cultures' that are good for your digestive environment.
While eating foods rich in live cultures is vitally important, store-bought yogurt contains about as much live bacteria as the desert contains water.
You see, yogurt is processed and refined to extend its shelf-life - to maximise profits of course - and you can't have live bacteria in something that needs to last for ages ... it'd get mouldy. So they essentially kill-off all the live cultures in the production process.
If you eat it because it fits your nutrition plan then keep going.
So what can you eat that REALLY does contain live cultures? Sauerkraut is a great place to start. It's really just fermented cabbage. Super-easy to make too. There are even YouTube videos on how to do it. Cabbage, salt, water and a container are all you need. You can get creative and add various other flavours too.
Try eating some every day and you'll FEEL the difference the yogurt was SUPPOSED to make in your life.
