FINALLY! A 'crazy' diet I can recommend!
The 'Hallelujah Diet' was formulated by US reverend George Malkmus in the 1990s and gets its name from the central principle of the diet, which is to try to eat only what Adam and Eve would have eaten in the Garden of Eden - fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Basically, a strict vegan diet.
Malkmus believes that the diet saved his life after a cancer diagnosis more than 35 years ago.
Obviously this diet is not really so crazy at all, because all the scientific evidence points to humans being herbivores anyway (there is no real evidence to suggest that we are even omnivores - do the research), and it is entirely possible to get all of our nutritional requirements from a varied diet of fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.
Malkmus believes that the diet saved his life after a cancer diagnosis more than 35 years ago.
Also, whether you believe in creation or evolution, the beginning would have involved our species being non-meat eaters. The beginnings of our meat-eating may have been when a cataclysmic event (Noah's flood or the Ice Age) killed all of the plants on earth and caused us to eat animal carcasses which would have been well-preserved and abundant.
Anyway, the best thing to do here is - if you're interested - try it for two or three weeks and see what happens. My experience of this type of diet is that I feel amazing.
