What do you do if your diet gets derailed for a meal, or a weekend?
Many people simply give up, because they get on the scale on Monday morning after a bad weekend, and they've gained some weight and feel like they have screwed up so badly that they may as well quit the diet.
Well, there is a great way to balance out a weekend of bad eating ...
RESET your mind, and pretend it didn't happen. Yup. It's that simple. You will have gained some 'weight' because your body is holding some extra water, but that will disappear over a few days of normal eating.
So just go back to the way you know you are supposed to eat. Lots of water, lots of veggies, lots of fruit, and a little of whatever else you choose to eat.

The point is, you need to get back to normal as quickly as possible without making too much fuss
If that doesn't work for you - because you want a more dramatic solution - a 24-hour break from eating (a fast) works wonders for regaining your sense of focus.
It's super easy if you keep yourself distracted for the day too. Just eat breakfast, then don't eat 'til breakfast tomorrow.
Drink water/lemon water/black tea/black coffee. Your body will let go of the excess water faster this way.
