Written by the author of the The Decarb Diet, Dr Howard Rybko says his new book, Banting Sucks, addresses the issue of sustainable weight loss and insulin control like no other book has before.
In the book, Dr Howard Rybko (MBBCh), who has his own practice where he specialises in diet and weight management, addresses how Banting rarely works for women over the age of 40. In addition, he says that fad diets are demonising carbs and needlessly banning many healthy food choices.
Dr Rybko claims the diet plan simply does not work because ultimately, it raises insulin levels which can lead to multiple medical problems including weight gain, heart disease and cancer.

According to Dr Rybko, the reasons why banters stop getting results is due to insulin spikes which occur from eating too much of the wrong foods, mainly proteins.
