Water is probably the most important element in your diet. If you want to lose weight, then being properly hydrated should be right near the top of your priority list

It helps you lose weight, helps your cells function properly, helps you feel satiated, helps you think more clearly, helps you get rid of toxins... the list goes on.

One of the interesting things about water intake is that the more you drink it, the less your body holds on to it. Our brains understand that if we're drinking water, then we can let go of water, instead of storing it, because we are not in a drought. If we do not drink enough water, then the brain will tell the body to store any excess it gets, because we appear to be in a water shortage crisis.
