Having a routine that seldom changes is important to having a productive, successful life and in this case, a successful weight-loss lifestyle. Your food, exercise, relaxation and sleep - the most important areas in a weight-loss plan - should be dialled in and stay that way. The more consistently you stick to your plan, the more positive the results will be.
If you decide to wake up at 5am every day and go to the gym, you will get it right most days once you're in the routine. However if you allow yourself to sleep until whatever time and then maybe go to the gym if you feel like it ... well, you know how that one ends.
Likewise with food, having set meals for at least one or two mealtimes per day is a really good way to keep your intake on track. I have a set breakfast and a pretty set lunch, with slight variations.
