The hands and feet pose is performed whilst in a standing position.
Raise your arms over your head and inhale deeply whilst doing so. Then bend your body forward until your hands reach your toes and your nose touches your knees. You should exhale slowly as you do this.
Your arms should be in contact with your ears and your knees should be kept straight whilst doing this posture. The aim of this posture is ‘to bury the face between the knees while keeping the palms firmly on the ground’.
Try to hold this posture for approximately five seconds before gently raising your body back to the standing position. You should be breathing in as you do this.
This routine can be repeated four times.
This pose helps to reduce the fatty tissue of the abdomen area so if you are concerned about fat in that area, perhaps try performing this yoga pose.
