Tone your buttocks and burn calories

Here are some quick and easy exercises that you can do to tone your buttocks and burn calories at the same time.

You can do these exercises by sitting (or lying, where applicable) on the carpet or on a yoga mat.

Exercises to tone your buttocks

Exercise 1

Lie on your back with your arms stretched out. Now, twist your hips to the left and tuck your right calf under your left knee. When in this position, the weight of your left leg, will assist in stretching the muscles of your right buttocks.

If you want to perform a hamstring stretch, you can straighten your left leg and extend the right leg. Then try to bring your toes to your left hand.

Exercise 2

Lie face up on the floor and rest your right ankle just above your left knee. You can stretch the muscles of your right buttock by drawing your left knee towards your chest – do this by pulling with both hands.

You can then stretch the hamstrings as well as the buttocks by extending your left leg.

Exercise 3

Whilst sitting on the floor, extend your left leg and cross your right leg over it. Now, draw your right knee back using your left arm.

You can tuck your left foot under your right thigh if you want to experience a great stretch.
