There are a lot of foods out there which claim to be healthy and suggest that they will help you to lose weight.

But will they really? Can you judge a book by its cover, after all?

Here are five foods to be very wary of if you're trying to lose weight:

1. 2% Milk

Many people on a diet drink 2% milk to help speed up weight loss.

The weird thing about 2% milk is that is has the same amount of dairy sugar and more than half of the fat of full-fat milk, so you're not saving nearly as many calories as you think you are.

If you think you need to drink milk, go for the real thing (full-fat). My recommendation? Stop drinking milk. If you can't bear the thought of black coffee get some oat, rice or almond milk – unsweetened of course.
