In the new documentary The Big Fat Fix, British cardiologist Dr Aseem Malhotra and former international athlete Donal O’Neill, question just how healthy our current food guidelines are.
Available to the public from the film’s website, for the fee, The Big Fat Fix is a co-production between Malhotra and O’Neill in which they advocate for high-quality healthy fats and investigate misconceptions behind our global obesity and diabetes epidemics.
Financed through a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, the film’s content is free from any commercial influence. This route the producers took to protect the integrity of their message of “lifestyle as medicine”.
O’Neill, producer of Cereal Killers (2013) and Run on Fat (2015), met Malhotra at the London premiere of Cereal Killers in 2013 and today, calls him “a figure for the future of healthcare”.
