After many years of preaching the gospel of caffeine being bad for your diet and weight loss, we have surged into an era where it is supposed to be a wonder drink - did the 'hip, trendoid' coffee industry explode into existence before or after this change, I wonder?
Now people are saying that coffee is filled with good things to make you healthier and help you lose weight. It improves energy levels, makes you smarter, burns fat, improves physical performance... and the list goes on.
And while these things may or may not be partially true - many of them are at least somewhat exaggerated - the one truth of coffee is this:
While this could be said of any number of foods, coffee is one where it's easy to go wrong and equally easy to feel the negative effects.
And these are just the symptoms of the real damage TOO MUCH coffee is doing in your body.
Two or three coffees per day and NO MORE. Simple. And drink them all before around three in the afternoon if you want to get to bed at a reasonable time.
PS: If you're one of those people who says 'coffee doesn't affect me', don't drink any caffeine for three weeks then drink a filter coffee before bedtime and try to sleep. Enjoy staring at the ceiling for hours.
Yes, coffee is good for you... in SUPER moderation.
