Weight loss is more than just restrictive diets and hours of cardio. There are easier ways to kick-start weight loss and here are a few of my favourites ...
I bumped my head so often along the way with the wrong weight-loss tips, and it can be disheartening.
I tried the magic, secret fat-burning seeds that may or may not just be a placebo laxative. I also did the soup diets that made me drop a whole lot of water weight that I gained right back as soon as I ate solid food.
I stopped with the fad diets and magic pills that were going to rid me of all of my fat in minutes and followed a healthy plan. I adopted these simple tips into my everyday life to change the way I did weight loss for good.
I sit behind a desk for a big chunk of my day, and I am willing to bet that you do too. We often get so wrapped up in our work that we forget to move at all. Even when you are swamped at the office, you can stay active with a 10-minute break to wake you and your body up.
Take a quick walk at lunchtime, or stretch yourself out in your office, just as long as you move. This is a great way to get the blood flowing and there is nothing lovelier than soaking up a little sunshine out of the office.

The one thing that I’ve totally fallen in love with is munching on green vegetables throughout the day. The misconception that you need to reserve veggies for dinner time is silly, and I’ve ditched ham and cheese sarmies for an actual meal at lunch time.
I have a protein source, good carb and green veggies for three of my six meals that I eat during the day and it works wonders!
Having fresh fruit and vegetables as a daily staple will go a long way towards helping your weight loss journey along. Better yet, vegetables and fruit are low-calorie and loaded with fibre to help aid a healthy digestive system. Win – win!
While on the topic of food, it is so important that you actually enjoy the meals that you are eating. Sure, I eat similar meals on a daily basis, but my meals are all tasty and full of flavour. I don’t deprive myself of anything and definitely don’t starve myself.
That way, I don’t feel the need to binge on the bad stuff and I’m not feeling awful because I don’t get enough food to eat. Making healthy choices makes all the difference for weight loss, so choose fresh over fast food every time.
