As the week goes on, there are a lot of things you're likely to start slacking on—getting up without having to smack the snooze button, and blowing out your hair instead of tossing it into a damp and easy bun, just to name a few. And now, new data collected from U.S. Jawbone users reveals that your eating habits take a turn for the worse once midweek hits, too.
The food-logging app found that users load up on healthy staples like quinoa, kale, and brown rice on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday—then ditch them in favor of grub like French fries, ice cream, bacon, and beer over the weekend. Bread and wine consumption, on the other hand, didn't waver significantly from Monday to Sunday.

The study didn't dive into the reasoning behind the health nosedive their users took over the weekend, but it's not difficult to speculate: Weekends can be pretty much synonymous with unhealthy opportunities—a.k.a. bars and brunch galore. Plus, it can be easy to convince yourself that your good habits at the beginning of the week will cancel out your weekend indulgences (spoiler alert: They don't).
