As we step into the year 2013, a quick recap of the fittest stars of the year is definitely warranted. While Salman Khan retained his top slot as the fittest man in bollywood, a newbie like Arjun Kapoor took the cake for most pounds lost. Yuvi’s fight with cancer was one of the top stories in the field of sports while the fit Saina Nehwal and Gagan Narang brought us accolades in the Olympics. Presenting the fit and healthy celebs from 2012 who fought flab, sloth, disease and emerged victorious (in nor particular order):
Yuvraj Singh: Life can be kind and cruel in equal measure as star cricketer Yuvraj Singh found out. 8 months after helping the nation lift the Cricket World Cup he was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor . Hrithik Roshan: Though he had no major releases this year, he was in the news for his ‘ten week fitness regime’. The actor made the risqué move of displaying his ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures as well. His aim was to spread the message that going from fat to fit was not as difficult as imagined.

Farhan Akhtar: Known for being a director, producer, script writer and now ace actor, the actor’s most recent venture ‘Bhag Milkha Bhag’ has him absolutely ripped and lean. Vidya Balan: Recently married, Ms Balan takes her roles very seriously, even if it means she has to put on almost 20 kilos like she did for the movie ‘The Dirty Picture’. The movie did do well at the box office, but the actress’s weight gain received a lot of flack.
