Most people are happy to learn there are other dieting and weightloss techniques that work alot better than starving yourself. Lets cover them
1. Dieting doesn't work: While I know that you hate diets, I thought it would be prudent to point out the disadvantages. Dieting in theory is a nice thing. But it just doesn't work. Will it work short term? Yes. But it's only short term! But you will gain back all of that weight as quickly as you have lost it!
The body is actually DESIGNED to not let you starve. In good old days, when there was lack of food supply, the body would store fat deposits in order to survive.
The body hasn't changed much: if you are on a starvation diet your body stores fat as fuel because it doesn't know when it will need that energy or when it will be able to eat agian. It would then take the obvious step: slow down your metabolic rate to store fat instead of burning it! This is the reason why most dieters tend to regain their former self as soon as they get back to the normal eating mode!
If someone told you that you have gained weight because of eating, let me enlighten you: you will gain fat if you DO NOT eat!
2. Eating frequently is the key: To eat like you always have is not enough to lose weight quickly; also be sure to eat frequently! We're not saying to go crazy here. You don't need to eat more than normal or when you aren't hungry. Make smaller meals vs. larger ones.
Most people eat 1 or 2 small meals during the day then go crazy for their 3rd and final meal. OOOPS! Worst thing you can do. You don't lose weight this way! Break down your usual 3 meals into 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day and eat about every 2-3 hours.
This has dual advantages. When your body is fed constantly your metabolism works harder to burn the fat fast. Second, frequent eating helps you suppress hunger, so that you don't feel tempted to gorge on the junk foods.
