We need to control our food intake as a key to any weight loss management
program.
Tips for losing weight help greatly when you want to lose weight easy and fast
and it is possible to have success without having to starve yourselve. But there
are some guidelines you need to follow around what I like to call "No-No" foods.
Hopefully it will be obvious that having a half-pound cheeseburger with fries is
a "No-No" and that a selection of fresh fruit or a salad would be a preferred
choice.
With any weight loss management program it is imperative that you keep in mind
that you must set yourself weight loss goals and also set rewards for reaching
those goals.
Why should we cut out foods we love? when all we want to do is lose weight easy
and fast. You love food your food. Use the foods you love as gifts too yourself
for achieving your set goals.
The list of "No-No" foods can be huge. To make the most of these tips for
loosing weight I will focus on the main groups that you need to manage better on
your 'No-No' list to help you lose weight easy and fast.
TIPS FOR LOOSING WEIGHT - 9 "No-No" FOODS.
1) The first one of the "No-No" foods for is margarine. It is loaded with
empty calories and is packed with trans fats. These are the worst type of fat to
consume. They are found in many packaged foods, commercially fried food, and
other packaged snacks. Margarine has also been linked with maladies such as
high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.
2) The next of our "No-No" foods is white bread; unlike wholemeal bread it
possesses little nutritional value. It is believed that it is one of the 'foods'
that cock-roaches won't even bother to go near. It does not function like a
complex carbohydrate but is metabolized similarly to simple sugars that elevate
insulin levels, resulting in greater fat storage.
3) French fries are undoubtedly among the worst of the "No-No" foods. They
contain trans fats, the artery-clogging fat that's been linked to raising bad
cholesterol and increasing the risk of heart disease, diabetes, stroke and
cancer.
4) Processed cheese is next on the list of the worst "No-No" foods. Processed
cheese is packed with salt, fat, and empty calories and contains virtually no
nutritional benefit. In fact, the majority of processed cheese makers are
legally obligated to label their products as "cheese product" or "cheese food".
5) Soda An average can of soda has 10 teaspoons of sugar, 150 calories, 30 to
55 mg of caffeine, artificial food colors and sulphites. Diet sodas have the
even-more-unhealthy artificial sweeteners. A major part of the problem is that
sodas have become a staple in many people's diets. A recent study found that
56 percent to 85 percent of children consume at least one soft drink a day, and
20 percent of adolescent males drink four or more sodas a day.
6) Donuts although tasty are also among the worst "No-No" foods. Break open a
donut and you'll find it contains lots of refined sugar, fats, and empty
calories. It's not hard to gain weight if you select one of the worst "No-No"
foods. The best thing about a donut is the hole.
7) Sugary breakfast cereals are amongst some of the worst "No-No" foods
available. If you do choose a breakfast cereal have one of the healthier whole
grain options available that contain no sugar.
8) Peanut butter that is not organic or natural contains added hydronated oils
and high fructose corn syrup, none of these things are good for you which is why
it is another bad "No-No" food. It is okay to have peanut butter occasionally
as a light snack. An alternative would be cashew butter or almond butter.
9) Most of the calories in ice cream are either simple sugars or saturated fats.
To make matters worse, most brands of ice cream are made with artificial
flavorings, preservatives, and other unwanted additives, which means that ice
cream is included in the list of "No-No" foods.
Next time you are shopping have a look at the items you can substitute in your
